L’edizione critica del testo musicale

La scuola affronta le metodologie di lavoro e le problematiche poste dall’edizione critica dei testi musicali, alla luce della prassi ecdotica e delle tecniche editoriali moderne. Oggetto di studio e repertorio privilegiato di lezioni ed esercitazioni è la musica di autori del Sette e dell’Ottocento, con una particolare attenzione per l’opera in musica.

La scuola è indirizzata a studenti e studiosi forniti di preparazione musicale e delle conoscenze basilari nel campo della filologia musicale, desiderosi di acquisire competenze specifiche e di cimentarsi, in futuro, nelle imprese editoriali attualmente in corso. Vuol essere, al tempo stesso, una palestra di confronto sui metodi di lavoro, le soluzioni editoriali correnti, gli esiti della filologia applicata ai testi musicali.

The critical editing of music

Lake Como School of Advanced Studies, 1-5 June 2026

The school addresses working methods and problems posed by critical editions of musical texts in the light of textual criticism and modern editing techniques. The subject of study and the repertoire of lessons and practical exercises will be the music by composers between the eighteenth and the nineteenth centuries, with particular attention paid to theatrical opera.

The school is intended for students and scholars with musical skills and a basic knowledge in the field of music philology who wish to acquire specific expertise and to be engaged in editorial projects currently underway. At the same time, the school aims to be a training ground for comparing working methods, current editorial solutions and the results of philology applied to musical texts.
